What we collect
When you submit an intake form, request a consultation, call, or email us, we collect the information you provide: your name, phone number, email address, and a description of your legal matter. If you book a consultation, we also collect the scheduling details (time, date, and any notes you add). If you become a client, we collect additional information as needed to represent you.
How we use it
We use this information for one purpose: to evaluate, schedule, and conduct your consultation, and (if you become a client) to represent you in your matter and communicate with you about it. We do not use your information for advertising, profiling, or any purpose unrelated to the legal services you've asked us about.
Storage
Your information is stored on infrastructure we control. Backups are encrypted at rest. We do not store your data with third-party CRM or marketing services that resell or mine client data. The web forms on this site submit directly to our own intake system.
Sharing
We never sell your information. We disclose it only with your consent (for example, if you ask us to share documents with another attorney) or when legally required (for example, in response to a valid court order). Attorney-client privileged communications are protected to the fullest extent permitted by Oregon law and the Oregon Rules of Professional Conduct.
Retention
We retain client files for seven (7) years after a matter closes, consistent with the Oregon State Bar's recommended file-retention guidelines. After that period, files are securely destroyed unless ongoing legal or ethical obligations require longer retention. Intake submissions from prospective clients who do not retain us are kept only as long as necessary to follow up, then deleted.
Your rights
You may request a copy of the personal information we hold about you, and you may request deletion subject to our retention obligations under Oregon law and applicable professional-conduct rules. To make a request, contact us at the address below.
